Coming to Sydney from around Australia is pretty simple, with a huge volume of flights into Sydney Domestic Airport throughout the week. Buses are also available from Canberra and around rural NSW. Recommended transport between venues during the conference is public transport. Sydney CBD has a vast public transport network including buses, trains, and the light rail. Head to to find the best transport route. Public transport in Sydney is now largely ticketless! To catch buses, trains, and the light rail, you will need to pick up an ‘Opal card’. These are prepaid cards that can be topped up and purchased either online, at news agencies, convenience stores, and major supermarkets in the CBD. When you catch public transport, simply remember to tap your card on the Opal read when getting on and off the bus to be charged correctly. More info at:

As part of our effort to host an inclusive and affordable event the team has joined forces with YHA Sydney. The AYAA have stayed with the YHA in previous years, so we can guarantee that they are well tried and tested! Booking accomodation with your ticket allows you to get at a discounted rate (prices are included at the bottom of this page). If you wish to book this please select the correct registration option and make clear who (if any) you wish to share with. We hope you enjoy the swimming pool, sauna, free WiFi and nearby hipster cafes (and did we mention? Breakfast is included!).

The entire conference, including evening events, will be catered as part of your ticket price! Lunch, and morning teas will be available each day- besides our provided catering, there are a large number of cafes at the universities that will be open at all times too. Evening event catering will be a mix of substantial canapes. Please don’t forget to specify any dietary requirements when you apply.

Aerospace Futures 2019 is aiming to be the most inclusive conference yet, so we would be ecstatic to see undergraduates, postgraduates and young professionals all attend. We are particularly keen to see more non-engineering students, so if you’re in science, business, law, politics, etc. -- don’t be shy!

We would love to have everyone attend, but due to venue capacities we need to limit our numbers to 250 undergraduate and postgraduate students and 50 young professionals. Realistically we do not expect 30 years of experience and your own Wikipedia page to be selected, passion is what we look for. However, the application process will be highly competitive so put your best foot forward.

50 Early bird tickets will be available for a limited time following registration opening, but remaining 200 general tickets will be open for purchase until late June. The ticket price you pay will be based on when you submit your application. Please note that this does not include optional facilitated accommodation costs.

All applicants will be added to a waitlist on eventbrite. Successful delegates will be asked to purchase tickets at a later stage.
