Andrew Neely is a Professor at UNSW Canberra where he is also the Director of International Student Recruitment & Exchange. He leads a research group developing experimental and numerical techniques to model and measure the aerodynamic performance and thermal-structural behaviour of high-speed flight vehicles and propulsion systems. His group works with a range of Australian and international collaborators on a number of projects including the large DST/USAF HIFiRE and ESA led HEXAFLY-INT hypersonic flight-test programs. Andrew completed his Masters and PhD in the Centre forHypersonics at the University of Queensland. He undertook postdoctoral research for Rolls-Royce plc in the Osney Thermo-Fluids Laboratory at the University of Oxford before returning to Australia to take up a faculty position at UNSW. Andrew is the President of the Australian Division of the Royal Aeronautical Society and the Vice-President of the International Society of Air Breathing Engines. He has a passion for STEM outreach and coordinates theCool Aeronautics program in Australia.
