David Sidman is director of Communications for Boeing Australia and New Zealand. In this role, he is responsible for all company communications – internal, external, executive, branding/advertising — as they relate to Australia and New Zealand. He is based in Sydney and began this position in January 2015. Previously, Sidman was senior manager of Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) International Communications and M&A Communications. He managed a team of international communicators whose mission was to help shape key international markets for future business opportunities. Further, he supported the Corporate Development function with communications for all BDS M&A-related activities.
Prior to that, he managed external communications for the C3 Networks division where he had responsibility for media relations on programs including FAB-T and JTRS GMR. Previously, he managed internal and executive communications for the Boeing Network and Space Systems (BN&SS) business, beginning in January 2006. In this role, he supported the president of BN&SS, and led a functional team of internal communicators across the business unit. Previously, he held the same role for the Space & Intelligence Systems division. Prior to joining Boeing in 2003, Sidman was a web content producer at Goldman, Sachs & Co. From 1994 through 1999, Sidman worked at ABC News in New York as an associate producer on overnight news programs and Good Morning America.
He graduated from Fordham University in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in Media Theory and Operations.
