Ed has just completed his Bachelor of Engineering (R&D), majoring in Mechanical and Material Systems at The Australian National University. Through the ANU's unique R&D degree, he has worked on a wide range of research projects including, Graphene Modified Carbon-Fibre Composites and Thermoelastic NDI testing for ADF for the F/A-18 Hornet. Ed has also been privy to a range of internships with QANTAS, Thales, DSTG and QinetiQ.
Inspired by the efforts of AYAA nationally, Ed has recently taken the initiative to start the AYAA ACT committee and hopes to share aerospace passion and enthusiasm within the youth of Australia's capital as chair of the renowned Aerospace Futures conference. In the future, Ed is excited to begin his graduate role working on the hovering Nulka rocket at BAE Systems Australia.
