Brock is a Graduate Engineer at HeliMods and is heavily involved with design, certification and aircraft integration management across several minor and major projects. Currently, he is working on a tactical mission cockpit design for a new fleet of police helicopters.
Over his 18 months at HeliMods, he has worked on the oxygen gas system on aeromedical rescue helicopters, as well as a medical fitout for Learjet 45 long range aeromedical retrieval aircraft. Graduating from the University of Queensland in 2017, he has previously worked at Airbus on the Australian Army's ARH Tiger Battlefield Helicopter and has participated in United Nations working groups for Space Situational Awareness and Off-Earth Mining.
Being passionate about outreach, Brock used his spare time during university to volunteer with organisations such as the Australian Youth Aerospace Association (AYAA), Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) and the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS).
His first Aerospace Futures was Brisbane in 2014, and he has attended every Aerospace Futures since then – year on year! He owes it to organisations like the AYAA for giving him the skills outside the classroom he needed to secure a job with a company like HeliMods.
